Dr. Thomas E. Christie, Director
Dr. Thomas Christie was born and grew up in Houston Texas. During his high school days, the Christie family moved to Port Washington, New York. From there Dr. Christie graduated from Syracuse University and then the University of Pennsylvania, D.D.S. After dental school, Dr. Christie served active duty in the United States Navy in the Hurricane Hunters Squadron. From there, Dr. Christie went on to complete his orthodontic education at The Ohio State University, M.Sc., Certificate in Orthodontics where he graduated Magna cum Laude.
Dr. Christie has published numerous articles and presented a wide array of seminars in his field where Dr. Christie is the internationally known developer of the “Facial Print.”
Dr. Christie is an active and well respected member of many dental and orthodontists associations in addition to offering solid contributions to his community from coaching football to various board positions for the Rotary club and the Kiwanis Club.
Dr. Christie lives in Fairfield, Connecticut and is married to Janet Mary. Together they have six children.
Derry Tomczyk, Office Manager
Derry has worked with Dr. Thomas Christie for 33 years. She started with The Orthodontic Center in High School where she worked as an assistant, became certified in X-rays, and then moved to the front desk where she was able to answer questions and make the patients feel at ease because of her working knowledge of orthodontics. Derry also oversees and keeps the schedule moving seamlessly so patients (and their parents) don’t have to wait a long time in the reception area.
Derry says, “Working here has always been wonderful. The reception area is a social time for the parents and the kids have fun.”
Beth Beaudry, Clinical Supervisor
Beth went to Nursing school while her twin girls were young. From there, she crossed over to Orthodontics and has worked for Dr. Thomas Christie at The Orthodontic Center for 6 years.
When asked what makes her work fulfilling, Beth says, “The patients are wonderful. They are happy and fun and they make our day!”
Sarah Jones, Financial Coordinator
We are pleased to welcome Sarah to our staff. Sarah comes to us with over 15 years of operational finance and client service experience. We are enjoying getting to know her and feel she is a terrific asset to our office.
Eliza, Logan and Cassidy Christie
Staffing at The Orthodontic Center can be a family affair! All of the Christie girls, Eliza, Logan and Cassidy work in the office when their sports and school schedules permit.
